Message and comments: I would greatly appreciate help locating a lost knife. It was made out of a horse shoe and it was a birthday present.

A special knife made out of a horseshoe was lost in Mary's backyard when thrown at a tree. A friend tried with his detector, but no luck. All metal setting to pick up iron is probably needed.

Mitch's Result: Success!
Searched for about 20 minutes in the area around the tree that he was throwing at. Surprisingly a number of iron targets, but most of them were about 6 in. down and since this was only lost 5 days ago I didn't bother digging them except one. After that, I started doing a hand search with a pinpointer in the garden area behind it and turns out the knife had basically flown straight into the underside of a rose bush at such an angle as it buried itself about an inch and was not able to be seen on the surface.
